Tempeh with Sauerkraut

Tempeh tempeh tempeh! Tasty and rich in proteins and fiber. But how to prepare it?

This is one of my favourite methods. Very easy and healthy for vegan lunch or vegan dinner. Even if you are not a vegetarian, you can benefit from eating meatless meals.

 

we will need:

100g flavored or smoked tempeh

1 cup sauerkraut

2 tablespoons olive oil

ground sweet red pepper

salt and ground black pepper

 

In a frying pan heat the olive oil, add ground red pepper and stir well. Place sauerkraut into the pan, add a little bit of water and under cover cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Add shredded tempeh, salt and black pepper to taste, stir well and without cover roast for another 5 minutes.

Ideally served with buckwheat, potatoes, quinoa or any other side dish.
