Beetroot Burger

Is this beetroot burger showing me his tongue?

He can. I will eat it. It is veggies anyway!

Beetroot is rich in vitamins and minerals and packed with powerful antioxidants. I like burgers and beetroot. So lets combine it for delicious vegan burgers!

 

we will need:

1 beetroot

1 carrot

can of chickpeas

1 onion and 2-3 garlic cloves

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon tahini

3 tablespoons buckwheat flour

salt, chilli, marjoram to taste

mustard, garden cress sprouts and black sesame seeds

– makes about 6-8 burgers

 

Mix the diced beetroot and carrot, 1/2 can of chickpeas, onion, olive oil, tahini, garlic and spices in a mixer. Place in a bowl and add the buckwheat flour. If the dough is a little fluid, you can add more flour. It depends on how juicy the beetroot was.

Preheat the oven to 200°C

Form burgers and place on a baking paper. Bake for about 20-30 min.

 

With the second half of chickpeas I made hummus paste.

And also the most important part is…do not forget to use mustard on top, on bottom, everywhere!
